Once again, many of our members and friends were recognized. Here’s the round-up.

Classical Album of the Year: Large Ensemble

  • Janina Fialkowska and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, led by Bramwell Tovey: Chopin Piano Concertos (ATMA*Naxos)
  • Les Violons du Roy, led by Bernard Labadie: Bonbons (ATMA*Naxos)

Classical Album of the Year: Vocal or Choral Performance

  • Karina Gauvin (with Les Violons du Roy, led by Jean-Marie Zeitouni): Britten- Les Illuminations (ATMA*Naxos)

Classical Composition of the Year

  • Nominations included the Centrediscs/CMC recording of Three Concerti by Larysa Kuzmenko.
