In 1992, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) donated the music libraries from its radio orchestras to Orchestras Canada. In the spring of 2002, OC had to give up the collection because an office move no longer allowed us the storage space to continue to house the collection. Orchestras Canada members who used the collection most were contacted and offered the chance to acquire the collection, given that they had the physical space and resources to do so. Now the Kraus Orchestral Music Library, librarian John Kraus is the administrator for the former CBC Library.
