This manual was produced in order to provide a vehicle for the dissemination of information about compositions by Canadian composers which might be suitable for study or performance by youth orchestras or community orchestras.
The manual is organized in three sections:
- Repertoire for Orchestras
- Repertoire for String Orchestras
- Categorized List of Compositions According to Level of Difficulty
Besides the level of difficulty, approximate duration, orchestration, and elaborate comments are provided for each composition.
This manual was first written and edited in 1984 by Michael Massey. The revised edition was prepared in 1996, by the same editor, and published by the Association of Canadian Orchestras.
