The Kingston Symphony, under the direction of Evan Mitchell, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Concertmaster.

– Biography suitable for publication in program.
– Two professional letters of reference.
– An audio recording of the first movement of Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 3, No. 4, or No. 5.
Application materials must be received by Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 5 p.m. (EST) after which applications will be reviewed by the audition committee. Invitations to audition will be sent out to qualified candidates no later than Wednesday, May 29, 2018. Only those selected for the short list will be contacted. A live audition to determine the finalists will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2018. These finalists will be engaged for two to three concerts in the 2018-2019 season. A winner will be chosen by April 2019 with the anticipated appointment to begin in the 2019-2020 concert season. Only candidates who are Canadian citizens or are eligible to work in Canada will be considered.
September to April, with some summer services.
(65 services scheduled for 2018-2019 concert season.)
