Assistant Principal Flute
Full-time Position

National Auditions will be held on Saturday, September 15th, 2018, 10:00am at the Francis Winspear Centre for Music, 9720 102 Ave, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

This is a full-time position. The start date will be based on the availability of the successful candidate from the audition.

Terms and conditions for the 2017-2018 Season for this position are (18/19 rates under negotiation):
Season: 41 Weeks (40 contiguous weeks September to June, plus 1 week Summer Festival late August/early September)
Remuneration: Minimum $58,962.42 for the full Season (highest annual orchestral minimum west of Toronto)
Benefits: Group Life Insurance, Extended Health Care (e.g. massage, drug plan, chiropractor), Accidental Death & Dismemberment, Dental Plan. 11% MPFC (Musicians Pension Fund of Canada) contribution

The successful candidate will begin as soon as he/she is available and the schedule of the Edmonton Symphony allows.

All applicants must be members in good standing of a Local of the AFM/CFM.

All applicants must be able to legally apply for the position and work in Canada – i.e. a Canadian Citizen or a Canadian Permanent Resident.

The Audition Committee reserves the right to dismiss immediately any candidate not meeting the highest professional standard at these auditions.
