Forty-six Wednesdays per year, Orchestras Canada sends subscribers headlines and a link to our dual language e-newsletter, Orchestra News.

Orchestra News includes stories about Canadian orchestras, with a focus on:

• new works;
• artists of interest;
• innovative approaches to presentation, touring, electronic media and community partnerships;
• marketing and fundraising initiatives of interest;
• changes in public policy with potential impact on Canadian orchestras;
• learning and networking opportunities;
• job postings in Canadian orchestras;
• personnel appointments;
• a ‘what are you reading’ section, providing recommendations and links to on-line articles of interest.

The principal source of Orchestra News?  Media releases, newsletters and photographs sent to OC by our member orchestras.  We read them, and we use them.  If OC is not on your distribution list, please add us:  all emails should be sent to info@oc.ca

The deadline for inclusion of news items in Orchestra News is end of business of the Thursday preceding Wednesday distribution.  This allows time for selection, editing, translation and formatting.
