The time is now for us to tell our story.
Decision-makers from all sectors need to understand how orchestras are meeting the needs of their communities and their citizens. We need to share the impact of our collaborative programs, demonstrate our innovation and articulate the value we offer Canadians from all walks of life. We need to demonstrate widespread community benefit and social value.
Funders and governments are all making tough choices about how to allocate scarce resources. Economic impact arguments are important, but they are not enough.
On the stage and in our performances, orchestras are adapting, innovating and changing to the expectations and needs of audiences. We need to do the same in communicating with decision-makers and our communities.
This website is here to help. To make the case for orchestras, we need to be well prepared. We need strategies, facts and great stories. Draw on the resources and getting started templates you will find here to share your stories and build the compelling case of your orchestra and its contribution to the citizens in your community.
