Orchestras Canada joins the members of OCSM in offering sincere thanks to past Presidents Matt Heller (Calgary Philharmonic) and Francine Schutzman (retired, National Arts Centre Orchestra) for their continued work behind the scenes.
Congratulations to Michael Berec and Matthew Poon, who have been appointed as Assistant Conductors with the Kindred Spirits Orchestra for 2013/14.
Orchestra News recently received a friendly note from Raymond Tizzard, who has recently been appointed as Orchestra Personnel Manager and Music Administrator of the National Ballet of Canada. He succeeds Jean Verch, who has retired after what Mr. Tizzard calls “a long and storied career.” We wish Ms Verch well in her retirement, and Mr. Tizzard all the best with his new responsibilities.
