It’s a little-known fact that Orchestras Canada hosts listservs for a number of constituent groups within our membership, as a way of better linking people who do the same kinds of jobs at orchestras right across the country. Users can pose questions, answer questions, share useful resources, and stay in touch with a range of people – simply by addressing a query to a single email address.
We host listservs for (in alphabetical order) Artistic Administrators, Box office staff, CEOs, Development directors, Education Directors, Finance Directors, Marketing Directors, Librarians and Personnel Managers. We also host listservs for Community Orchestras and Youth Orchestras.
If you aren’t signed up for the list serv that fits you best, email jennifer@oc.ca with the listserv you’d like to join, and she’ll get you signed up. Anyone affiliated with an OC member may join a listserv. However, the user’s position with an orchestra must correspond with the topic of the discussion group. For example, only those employed in a Development capacity for an orchestra can join the development list.

We have a list for Community Orchestras that includes some board members, executive directors and administrative pesonnel.
