Congratulations to Calgary Philharmonic President and CEO (and chair of the board of Orchestras Canada) Ann Lewis-Luppino, who was recognized earlier this week as one of Canada’s 100 Most Powerful Women by the Women’s Executive Network. “Ann has made a tremendous impact in Calgary and in the arts community,” says Lori Caltagirone, CPO board member.“When you consider that she has transformed two of Western Canada’s vital arts organizations, the Alberta Ballet and the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, into sustainable and respected establishments out of distressed financial conditions, it becomes very clear that she is strategic, influential and powerful. I thought it was time that the rest of Canada knew this as well! I am so delighted that Ann was chosen to receive this award!”
