Dvořák Festival in Halifax

From April 28 to May 2, Symphony Nova Scotia will present a 3-concert tribute to the music of Dvořák, including lectures, a narrated chamber music concert, and an expanded orchestra for a pair of orchestral concerts featuring familiar concertos and symphonies.  The orchestral programs will be led by SNS Music Director Bernhard Gueller and will feature cellist Matt Haimovitz and violinist Giora Schmidt.  Featured speakers include Dalhousie University professor and former CBC host Adrian Hoffman.

Both of the symphonic Dvořák Festival concerts will be recorded by CBC Radio 2 for nationwide broadcast, and will be posted on its Concerts on Demand website for worldwide accessibility.
