At the close of its 2009 festival, the Ottawa Chamber Music Society announced the appointment of Roman Borys as permanent Artistic Director, with Annalee Patipatanakoon and Jamie Parker as Artistic Advisors.  The three musicians – all members of the Gryphon Trio – have led the last two festivals in an interim role.  For more information on the OCMS, you can visit their website here.

The Canadian Dance Assembly has announced that Shannon Litzenberger, its Executive Director since 2004, will be resigning from her position as of November 30, 2009.  The CDA has been a close partner with Orchestras Canada through the Canadian Arts Coalition and the creation of the Performing Arts Alliance.  “During her tenure at the CDA, Shannon has contributed much to the development of the Assembly and we, her peers and colleagues, recognize and appreciate her hard work and dedication.” says CDA Board President Jim Smith.  Shannon is leaving the CDA to pursue artistic activities.
